The IT PMO was established to provide leadership and set standards for Project Management for all State of Montana Projects by providing:
- Standardize core job functions to allow resources to be shifted from team to team and have the same expectations for each project manager.
- Standardize reporting, ensuring that information shared is delivered in a consistent and standardized fashion.
- Standardize toolset that is used to manage the project.
- Grow the project management community in the skill sets required to manage projects successfully.
- Mentor, train, and guide the organization's project teams as they learn and adapt Project Management Best Practices for their deliverables.
